Sefali is struggling to look after her three children because she has multiple health problems and is very week. She has been undergoing treatment for over a year and the family is running out of funds to pay for her care. She has jaundice, gall stones, and digestive problems. Sefali also suffers from severe stomach pain and is very limited in what she can eat.
Sefali's husband is a cycle rickshaw puller who hardly earns $50 per month (Rs2000). They live in a house that is made of roughly of bricks with no mortar in between, so there are holes in the walls.
The family has shown us bills for several thousand Rupees and they will need around Rs20, 000 (US$426) to complete Sefali's treatment.
