Updates on the latest blogs

Many of you have been asking us for updates. We always try to provide updates people, but people are much less interested in following up with us once we have paid for their medical treatment so we often have to chase them, which takes time away from other urgent social work activities, so please forgive.

Baby Monika (July posts) is doing well, and as you can see from the photo, looking very happy. Her mother says that she cries less and seems much more comfortable now that the hernia has been removed from her spine.

Kamlesh (July posts) is still in hospital in Jaipur having physiotherapy and undergoing rehabilitation, we are in contact with her family and will post photos as soon as possible.

Savita's family are still unsure about whether they want to go ahead with her treatment, we told them that we are keeping the money for them but cant keep it for too long because there are other cases that we are desperately wanting to help.

Today, our social work team also went to Visit Bhagavati (April posts). Her operation wound has healed from the outside but she is still getting redness and swelling so we will take her for another check up. It is difficult for her to walk, and she gets no support from her fathers and brothers to take her to school. This is just another instance of women being mistreated. Life is very difficult for women in India, especially those from poor families and single mothers like Radha (previous post), no one wants to help them.
