A girl in "real" need of help.

Medical Report
Laxmi, 10 years old.

Girl with intestinal TB.
Abdominal Ultrasound showing:
1) “ A twist of bowel l loops; preeminent and thickened, leading to “sub acute abdominal obstruction (probably due to “Ascaris Lumbricoides”, a kind of worm)
2) “Mesenteric linfoadenopathy (ganglion inside the abdomen increased in volume and size).
Diagnosis: Sub acute abdominal obstruction and Intestinal Tuberculosis”
The blood tests and X Rays, corroborated the diagnostic.
Such situation is considered to be an “EMERGENCY”. The possibility of sudden need of surgery is about 70 per cent. (if the bowel loops twist completely).
Medicines for Tuberculosis and intestinal worms were prescribed. It is dangerous to give the worms medicines at home, because the toxic effect of the medicine will push the worms to move and sometimes cause a complete obstruction of the bowels or a complete twist of the same.
The Doctor advised to admit the child immediately for about 15 days. We are trying to convince the parents to take her to the hospital at our expenses but they are refusing to let her go.
If we manage to convince the parents besides covering the hospital expenses we will have to pay an assistant as she cannot be in hospital alone and the parents have no interest in doing that.
So far we have spent Rs. 1,000
Hospital expenses Rs. 4,500
Attendant expenses Rs. 1,200
Medicine expenses Rs. 5,500
After hospital time she will need two years of medicine for TB. approx. one thousand RS per month. (Rs. 24,000)
Total: 36,200 rs.
If you wish to help her, please email to me at: rupa@fflvrindavan.org

Is this the NEW INDIA?

The India of 36 billionaires? of an incredible growth rate? of the IT revolution? The greatest democracy on the planet?
I traveled most of the planet but I never seen anything like this. Sure as the tourism office says "Incredible India".

This man was found by our FFLV people on the side of the road, literally with his face eaten by worms. After two days our doctor, who cleaned and treated him still has problem adjusting to normal life as it was so unrealistic and inhuman!

Our brave workers took him to many hospitals in Vrindavan and Mathura but none would want to deal with him, we drove to Agra and even there the hospital said to take him to Delhi.

Thanks God on the way to Delhi he left is body, so we took him back to Vrindavan for the final rites.
I am sick even by just writing this. And I am sorry, you may also get sick by reading and seeing the picture. Sure it is an "Incredible India".

This what we posted two months ago.

"Another Hema

Today after almost two weeks of absence Hema has come back to School, I called her and asked why she was absent for so long.
She said that her father is in a hospital in Agra with both kidney failure. Then she said that the doctors have said that they will need 500,000 Rupees or US$ 11,357 for the surgery to replace one kidney, they also said that there is no certainty that it will work or be successful.
The father has 45 years and has 3 daughters and three sons.
It is such a large amount that considering the innumerable other casualties and needs we have it is not even thinkable of trying to help them.
Our commitment is there already as we have Hema, her two sisters plus two brothers in the school. Our prayers are with them."

It is with a relived heart that we wish to inform you that the old lady, Koki Haldar has left her body last night, our FFLV boys have attended to the final rituals.
