5 year old boy with Guillain-Barre syndrome

We will have pictures and more details about this case soon. In the meantime, it's urgent so we wanted to get some initial information to you:

While visiting a doctor in Mathura recently we were asked to help with an urgent case. A five year old boy is at the hospital there with guillain barre syndrome, a serious condition that occurs when the body's defense (immune) system mistakenly attacks part of the nervous system. Guillain-Barre syndrome damages parts of nerves, which can cause some nerves to stop working altogether.

Both of the boy's parents are polio patients, and his father lost one leg to polio and cannot work. His mother also very sick.

The boy needs IVIG treatment for about 80,000 rs (1,443 UDS), and his doctor, Dr. Meena Sood, already collected 15,000 rs for the first injection but he desperately needs more.

At the moment we do not even know the boy's name, but we will get the details and also a photo as soon as possible. Please donate what you can and help spread the word for his case!
