Her name is Kushboo. She is only two years old and a she has been badly burnt. Her mother left her for a few minutes and she stepped in the fire. This happened around 6 months ago, and as you can see from the photo, the wound has healed but left her foot badly deformed. It has become twisted and now, when she walks she walks on the side of her foot.
She can walk, and does not seem to be in pain but unless she undergoes plastic surgery, she will never be able to wear shoes and her foot will not grow in the correct way. We are waiting for a kind donor so that this little girl can undergo surgery and develop normally. Her parents are simple village people and cannot afford the operation.
Her mother's name is Somvati and her father is Chalbihari. Chalbihari works in a cycle repair shop and earns around Rs1500 per month (US$35). Doctors at Ram Krishna Mission charity hospital say that the surgery will be Rs10,000 (US$240) including medicine and aftercare. With Chalbihari's wage, it would take him years to save this money, please help them.
