Five years ago, during the Diwali festival, Manisha and her family were playing with fireworks as part of the celebrations. The sparks ignited a leaky gas bottle from their gas stove, and the bottle exploded, burning their entire house to the ground. In the chaos, Manisha, her mother, and sibling all suffered burns, with Manisha’s being the most severe. The two children were immediately brought to the Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi, where they stayed to receive treatment and recover for two months. Years later,
Manisha is still suffering - and since her father passed away a few months ago due to a heart attack, her family can’t take care of her medical needs alone.
We have found a plastic surgeon (Dr. Anurag Jain) who has agreed to conduct surgery on Manisha for free. However, we still need your help to cover the costs of her medicine, dressings, and hospital stay. The doctor will come to Rama Krsna Mission in a couple weeks, and we need to raise
20,000 rupees (about $450 USD) for her before then.
