Sukhvir's Update

After his recent examination at our FFLV Medical Center, Sukhvir was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. 400 mL of pus was drained from his liver over the course of three days. He is now feeling much better. He now has an ultrasound and a blood test to take before commencing with the rest of his treatment. Thanks to everyone who has come forward to help Sukhvir. Let's all hope his treatment continues to go well.

Update on Poonam

Dear friends,

Poonam, one of our SMS students, recently fell from the roof of her home in Vrindavan. Doctors say Poonam's condition is improving. She has partially regained consciousness and sometimes mumbles broken phrases to her parents and visitors.

Doctors say Poonam may need surgery to drain blood from her cranium. However, surgery cannot be performed till the swelling of the brain is reduced. Luckily, the swelling is indeed going down.

Thanks to everybody for your prayers and please continue to keep little Poonam and her family in your thoughts and hearts.

Fourth Grader in Critical Condition

Young Poonam is in critical condition today after a fall from the roof of her home in Vrindavan. Since the fall she's remained unconscious, with a fractured leg and internal injury to the head. Her distraught family are with her in the emergency room in Agra. Poonam's classmates in Sandipani Muni School's fourth grade are asking you all to please pray for their beloved friend.

Doctors estimate a minimum of Rs.50,000 ($1,111 USD) for Poonam's treatment. We will keep you updated with more news about Poonam as it arises.
